  About
  What is it ?
DLC is a simple HTTP link checker written in Perl (released under the GPL). It can generate an HTML output for easy checking of the results, and can process a link cache file to hasten multiple requests (links life is time stamp enforced).
Dead Link Check is initially created as an extension to Public Bookmark Generator, but can be used by itself as is.
  How it works ?
Run the script by providing it a link file or list of HTTPs addresses on the command line, and it will do (or not if the information in the cache file is present and still time valid) a network request and tell you informations on the actual existence of those links in an easy to read result (may be in HTML if option set).
When running the script the help option gives a small description of the script options and default values.
  Requirements
  DLC uses Perl 5 and libwww-perl (a CPAN archive : ftp://www.perl.com/pub/perl/CPAN/modules/).
  Future evolutions ?
  Extending possible HTTP requests
Extend the script to check links in parallel
Add a side script to extract all links from a point in a server directory (using exclusion rules) to create an url file
Add a "recurse" option to check links inside links (inside links ...)
  New releases ?
